There is layer(either prime vendor or implementation partner) between me and End client. -------- JOB DESCRIPTION : Job Title: .Net / Managing Director Information Technology Job Location: Los Angeles, CA- HYBRID Visa : GC & US citizen Only Interview: Telephonic & In-Person/Skype Job Purpose: The Managing Director - Information Technology (MD, IT) serves as a senior level manager to assess, architect, and solution for client investment management and wealth advisory support technology requirements and operations, in line with the Firms strategic goals and vision. This role will manage the use of internally developed custom software applications and third-party vendor solutions to create and maintain a competitive technology environment across all business lines. The MD, IT also manages a team of application developers as well as being an expert individual contributor, as appropriate. Further, this position will oversee the IT infrastructure and support team dedicated to client, ensuring alignment with the parent company infrastructure strategy. Duties and Responsibilities: Partner with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions., set priorities, resolve issues and enhance operational efficiencies. Lead the strategic planning and implementation of the IT strategy for client investment operations and wealth management businesses. Ensure the company is following best practices, is externally competitive, and is aligned with the parent company strategy. Lead the strategic planning and implementation of a data management and governance program in conjunction with the parent company vision. Lead and manage the IT Application team, including coaching and mentoring. Set direction, priorities, and expectations for the team. Write performance evaluations and review them with staff. Resolve issues and enhance support for production systems with a goal of a 24/7 infrastructure team in partnership with the parent company. Ensure proper documentation and backups are in place to handle production issues and address key man risks throughout the IT organization. Play a key role in business continuity planning, testing, and implementation. Develop offshore relationships and manage offshore resources, as needed. Manage relationships with strategic vendors and service providers to define, maintain, and enforce SLAs and KPIs. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a relevant field; Masters degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of enterprise monitoring tools and critical infrastructure solutions experience within the investment management industry sector. Ideal candidate has 5 years of progressive experience managing diverse teams of people. Development expertise with: Microsoft ASP.MVC and/or .NET Core for web applications. Microsoft .NET Console applications. Microsoft SQL Server. Microsoft .NET WinForms applications. Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.). SOAP and RESTful web services experience. Strong knowledge of the Cloud with a bias for AWS and Azure platforms. Expert in Active Directory. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex ideas and articulate in very clear messages to enhance discussions with all stakeholders, ability to effectively communicate to different types of stakeholders. Highly metrics-oriented, with a proven track record of commercializing digital platforms, and maximizing customer usage and business impact/revenue. Ability to influence and hold others accountable to drive decisions and delivery. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
