Position: MECM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Location: Detroit Michigan/48236 (Onsite) Duration: Long Term Job description: Primary Skills : SCCM/MECM Tanium MDT MS Intune App Packaging Power/PSADT What youll need to succeed (Required): Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 years of direct MECM experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Active Top Secret security clearance required. CompTIA Security + or equivalent IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification required. MECM Server and application administration experience. Windows 10/11 Administration experience. Microsoft Deployment Toolkit experience. Active Directory/GPO administration experience. 1. **System Configuration and Maintenance:** - Configure and maintain the SCCM environment, ensuring it is up-to-date and optimized for performance. - Install updates, patches, and service packs, and perform regular system backups. 2. **Software Deployment:** - Deploy software applications to devices within the organization. - Create Dynamic collections for the deployments. - Create and test deployment packages to ensure compatibility and meet user requirements. 3. **Patch Management:** - Manage and deploy patches to keep systems secure and up-to-date. - Schedule and monitor patch installations, identify vulnerabilities, and troubleshoot issues. 4. **Operating System Deployment (OSD) using MDT** - Strong understanding of MDT architecture and functionalities. - Create and maintain custom Windows images for deployment. - Update images with the latest patches, drivers, and software. - Understanding of the Customsettings.ini file and the usage of custom/default Task Sequence variables - Deploy operating systems to new devices or upgrade existing systems. - Create and configure task sequences to automate the installation process. 5. **Reporting and Documentation:** - Good Understanding of SQL/WQL Queries - able to write their own queries. - Generate reports and documentation on system performance, software deployments, and compliance status. - Use SCCMs reporting tools to create customized reports for management. 6. **Collaboration and Communication:** - Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of SCCM with existing systems. - Collaborate with network administrators, security teams, and help desk staff to resolve issues and improve IT operations. - **Experience:** - Extensive experience in SCCM administration. - Experience with Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, and networking concepts. - **Skills:** - Strong understanding of SCCM/MDT architecture and functionalities. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Power. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to generate and interpret reports using SCCMs reporting tools. Experience with Remote Access Technologies VPN, IPSec, VDI (Citrix/VMware/AWS Workspace/Azure). Experience with Monitoring Tools SCOM, SolarWinds, etc. Understanding of DoD, DISA cybersecurity requirements.
