In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security, DevOps practices, and automation to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to build security into the development lifecycle, ensuring that our GCP environments are protected against modern threats. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred. Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or CISM, are highly valued. Core Skills and Experience Requirements: GCP Security: Strong understanding of GCP security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and GCP native security tools such as Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, VPC Service Controls, and Key Management Service (KMS). Experience with GCP networking, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), firewall management, and network security. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Google Deployment Manager, or CloudFormation to manage and secure cloud infrastructure. Experience writing secure IaC templates and automating GCP deployments. DevSecOps Practices: Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with a focus on integrating security into CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and implementing security scans and compliance checks as part of the build and deployment processes. Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Experience with security monitoring and alerting tools within GCP, such as Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging. Knowledge of incident response and investigation techniques to quickly identify and mitigate security threats. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with GCP Anthos and multi-cloud security best practices. Knowledge of application security testing and static and dynamic analysis tools like SonarQube or Snyk. Experience with GCP service hardening and security policy enforcement. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage security measures in our GCP infrastructure to safeguard sensitive data and systems. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to embed security best practices into the SDLC, leveraging DevSecOps principles. Automate security controls and monitoring in GCP environments, including CI/CD security integration. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments across GCP resources. Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and drive incident response efforts. Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and GCP security advancements to continually strengthen our cloud security posture.
