Job Title: Project Manager Location: Jersey, City, NJ (100% on-site from day 1) Duration: Long term contract LOCAL TO NEW JERSEY (NON LOCAL PROFILE NOT ACCEPTED) Job Description: Serves as the Project Leader for Chief Data Office initiatives responsible for project completion from project initiation to closure. Responsibilities include defining project scope, budget estimation, gathering & defining requirements, developing project milestones, creating project plans, managing budgets, schedules, staffing requirements, project risk mitigation, project coordination, & facilitating discussions/next steps. Determines appropriate project management methods to report status, track metrics, & assess progress to ensure that Business, Stakeholders, Leadership Teams, & Project Teams are aligned. Must incorporate regulatory compliance into technology solutions along with corporate policies & procedures Works closely with product owners & stakeholders to ensure the team strives to achieve shared understanding of deliverables scope. Also, ensures a healthy product backlog that is continuously being refined and prioritized through collaboration with our business partners. Collaborates with Project Team (Data Infrastructure, Data Visualizations, & Data Scientists), Security, Legal, & IT Teams to define & monitor project tasks, manage deliverables, & identify dependencies. Effectively manages, plans for, and mitigates risk to projects; relentlessly tracks down resolutions to critical issues or escalates when necessary. Where engaged in programs, collaborates with project and portfolio management colleagues in the business to coordinate and effectively manage development Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies, identify and recommend potential improvements in current methodologies, and maintain a productive working relationship across business units, functional units, & team members. Qualifications: 7+ years of proven experience serving as Project Manager, Business Analyst, and/or ScrumMaster role working with agile and traditional software development life cycle models Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, or relevant experience in technology and/or insurance industry Ability to lead small, medium, and possible large project solutions with medium to high complexity; and, breakdown projects into tasks, and define priorities. Preferred working knowledge of Business Intelligence Platforms, such as Power BI & ThoughtSpot, and Data Warehouse Platforms, such as RedShift, Athena, Snowflake Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently, take full ownership of projects, and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives. Resourceful and able to manage multiple projects at once and shifting priorities with limited supervision. Strong and effective interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and motivational skills within technical and function team members. Must have Servant Leadership mentality with the ability to mentor other team members PMP and CSM certification is a plus.
