Job Description Requirements: Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, managing workload distribution and project assignments. Oversee deployment, support, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers and Catalyst switches. Develop and refine standard operating procedures for network provisioning and maintenance. Ensure meticulous documentation of all network changes, including engineering documents and IP addressing. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage network performance testing and monitoring. Serve as a primary point of contact for customer communications, managing stakeholder expectations. Operate autonomously, take initiative, and lead by example in network management and troubleshooting. Be available for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for network maintenance and emergency responses. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. 5-8+ years of experience with Gigabit Ethernet switched LAN networks and network protocols. Proven experience as a team leader in a network engineering environment. Strong understanding of Cisco and Palo Alto networks; experience with network scripting (Python, Ansible). Proficiency in network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark and TCP-Dump. Network Engineering certifications are highly desirable. Active DOE or DOD Security Clearance required.
