Title : FIRMWARE TEST ENGINEER Location : IRVINE CA- ONSITE Duration : 6+months MOI : Skype Visa : No H1B Candidates are expected to be onsite 5 days a week. Reporting and Communication of Software Defects in formal and Ad-hoc tests Writing code and developing scenarios to test coverage of component requirements using hardware and software in the testing environments using Python Maintaining a suite of regression tests to ensure software functionality for each release of the software Communicating with software developers, and electrical engineers to proactively identify problems and gaps in test coverage and documentation Creating and updating tests for new features and technology Qualifying each release of software for deployment to patients Developing clear and concise test reports Maintaining automated test infrastructure Requirements: 4+ Years of Programming language experience with Python required Experience developing automation tests with reusable code / Framework Must be comfortable working with DC Power Supplies, Waveform generators, Digital Multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to troubleshoot/debug and analyze signals preferred Other Desired Qualifications: Experience with Serial Communications Interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc) 1+ Years of Programming language experience with C/C++ is a plus Ability to understand, test, and troubleshoot complicated system interactions Ability to develop test guidelines from specifications Experience working in a safety-critical medical and/or regulated environment is a plus Comfortable using embedded data acquisition tools (National Instruments) is a plus Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, 4 years demonstrated track record in automation testing preferred Industry - Preferred Med Device (Aeronautic industry, regulated space) NOTE: Email is the best way to reach me if i am not available at my number.
