A leading utility provider located in the New York NY is looking for a Senior QA Automation/Manual Engineer for a long-term contract. The candidate will play a crucial role in advancing software quality assurance lifecycle by working closely with the development teams to formulate test strategies and craft both automated and manual tests to ensure releases uphold the highest criteria. Additionally, the skills will be vital in maintaining continuous integration processes and resolving system problems. This is a remote role.. Responsibilities: Drive the software quality assurance lifecycle within an Agile/ waterfall process. Establish and coordinate test strategies with development/product teams. Design and implement test plans and test cases. Develop and execute automated/ manual UI and functional tests. Enhance and maintain automated CI flows. Review and validate UAT test results. Troubleshoot issues in systems under test. Requirements: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test. Experience with web application testing and Continuous Integration processes. Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (ADO, JIRA, RCLM). Knowledge of SQL databases. Experience with automation testing using Selenium or similar tool. Experience with API testing using postman or SoapUI. Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
