Job Title: Network SME (L2 Switching and Routing with Palo Alto SASE Expertise) Location: New York City (NYC) local only Experience 12+ years mandatory Only USC and GC Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience in L2 Switching and Routing, along with a solid background in Palo Alto Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies. The successful candidate will provide advanced troubleshooting, deployment, and support for various network-related issues, ensuring smooth operations and security for our client's infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Advanced Network Troubleshooting (L2): Handle escalated network-related issues including SD-WAN support. Work with CISCO Routers, Console Servers, CISCO Switches, Wireless Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers, and VPNs. Palo Alto Firewall Support: Perform advanced troubleshooting of Palo Alto firewall issues. Validate firewall configurations against security policies. Connectivity and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve connectivity issues reported by software developers, analyzing logs (including Terraform), error messages, and network configurations. Collaborate with Developers to address code-related issues impacting network performance. Change Management and Deployment: Manage approved change deployments including system upgrades and patches for the network infrastructure. Vendor and Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with third-party vendors, OEMs, ISPs, and hands-on support teams for network-related escalations. Collaboration with NOC/SOC: Work closely with NOC (Network Operations Center) and SOC (Security Operations Center) teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues. Required Qualifications: L2 Switching and Routing Experience: Proficiency with CISCO routers, switches, and related networking equipment. Palo Alto SASE Expertise: Strong knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) in cloud-based environments. SD-WAN Support: Experience troubleshooting SD-WAN environments. Firewall Troubleshooting: Advanced skills in resolving firewall-related issues, specifically with Palo Alto. Log Analysis: Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues reported by developers, particularly with Terraform. Network Security: Experience verifying firewall configurations and ensuring compliance with security policies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Terraform and automated network configuration tools. Prior experience working with high-profile financial services clients.
