This role will be crucial in designing and managing our data architecture while supporting data transformation and analysis for clinical data. As a Data Architect & Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing our overall data architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements and AWS infrastructure. You will also assist with the ingestion, transformation, and analysis of clinical data to ensure its readiness for regulatory compliance and analysis. Key Responsibilities: Design and manage the overall data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Develop and maintain the metadata repository using AWS Data Catalog and AWS Glue. Link metadata, business glossary, and governance tools to ensure effective data management. Oversee clinical data ingestion, transformation, and classification to ensure data readiness for analysis. Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation. Ensure data quality, compliance, and traceability through effective tagging and auditing. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security. Monitor and optimize data architecture and pipelines for performance and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and anomalies promptly. Document data architecture, data flow diagrams, and metadata to support knowledge sharing and compliance. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in data modeling and architecture design, preferably with tools like Erwin. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, including AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, AWS DataZone, and AWS S3. Experience in metadata management and linking with business glossaries and governance tools. Proficiency in clinical data analysis and data transformation. Ability to design and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the biotech or healthcare industry. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data compliance standards.
