Contract Type: Corp-to-Corp (C2C) Visa Status: Open to all candidates, USC or GC Preferred Job Description: Platform Engineer Client Req #2024-170 - JA #1002775 Overview: As a Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the design and implementation of a unified software engineering culture that bridges Application Development and Operations. You will play a pivotal role in engineering solutions that enhance the efficiency and security of code releases through automated, secure, and portable tools and functions. Key Responsibilities: Technical Analysis & Development: Participate in the analysis, design, and development of technical specifications, programming, and testing of DevOps components. Engage in design and scripting reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise programming standards and guidelines. Assist in creating or updating enterprise standards when necessary. Issue Resolution & Scalability: Support team members in resolving issues related to scalability metrics, integration challenges, and critical production problems as required. Adhere to technology best practices and escalate issues when appropriate, following guidance from Senior Engineers, Lead DevOps Engineers, and the Architectural team. Infrastructure Automation: Assist in configuring and scripting fully automated infrastructure provisioning, image builds, and instance deployment capabilities. Follow standard change control and configuration management practices to maintain system integrity. Operational Support: Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation to support the platform and ensure continuous availability and performance. Required Skills/Qualifications: Strong motivation to automate repeatable processes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset for working across teams. Experience in DevOps practices, including infrastructure, scripting, and programming. Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes. Desired Skills/Qualifications: KCNA, CKA, and/or CKAD certifications. Experience working with Kubernetes in an enterprise environment. Working knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., OpenStack, Azure, Rancher), container concepts (e.g., Docker), infrastructure deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Terraform), and CI/CD tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
