Job Overview

seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a federally funded Care/Case Management modernization initiative. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the analysis, planning, research, procurement, design, development, testing, and deployment activities. This is a primarily remote position; however, the candidate must be relatively local to attend in-person meetings as required. Travel costs will not be covered by the client or CAI.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Project Management within Developmental Services or Health and Human Services agencies, particularly in case/care management system modernization projects. Exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

Lead and report on all phases of the Care/Case Management modernization project.

Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Assist in rapid confirmation of business needs and project scope, including integration requirements.

Procurement and Documentation:

Develop procurement documents, such as statements of work and requests for services.

Evaluate proposals and manage follow-up funding-related activities, including Advanced Planning Document (APD) preparation.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the DDS ARPA Team to align project objectives with departmental goals.

Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.

Facilitate and participate in meetings, both virtual and in-person, as needed.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure project adherence to relevant state and federal health compliance standards, including HIPAA and HITECH.

Incorporate health informatics best practices into the projects design and implementation.
