Please mention work authorization and location Job Description - SQL Server Developer Location: New York City, NY- hybrid Candidate must be local to the NYC area Duration: 6+ months MUST HAVE domain: Investment banking, Capital market Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Developer with a strong background in data modeling to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, secure, and scalable databases. They will also be expected to have strong analytical skills to create data models that enable the implementation of our data strategy. Responsibilities: Design and implement database solutions using SQL and related technologies. Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures. Create and maintain complex ETL processes. Optimize database systems for performance efficiency. Perform data analysis and validate data integrity. Collaborate with application developers to create optimized queries. Ensure security practices are implemented and maintained in all database processes. Document the database setup and architecture. Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and propose improvements to the current database systems. Provide on-call support as needed for critical database issues. Requirements: Proven experience as a SQL Database Developer. Strong experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions. Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling principles and methodologies. Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques. Understanding of data warehousing principles and architecture. Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding. Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases. Capable of troubleshooting common database issues. Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it. Preferred Skills: Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus. Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications. Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications. Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL. Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools. Familiarity with programming languages API.
