Will submit 2nd on the request of PV PV can ask for LinkedIn Systems Engineering Manager Remote 12Months + Project Geoblue Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead our team in managing critical infrastructure components including VMware virtualization, Cisco network and firewall systems, SQL and Oracle databases, storage solutions, monitoring tools, capacity planning, datacenter and cloud operations. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to mentor and guide a team to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our current and future IT infrastructure. Requirements: 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in system engineering, with a focus in on-prem and cloud services Proven hands-on experience with enterprise level virtualization platforms (VMware), network protocols and standards, load balancing services, storage solutions (SAN/NAS), backup and disaster recovery strategies. Experience in a highly available scalable environment with a solid focus on operational stability Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure services. Expertise in monitoring/alerting solutions, capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of complex systems. Solid understanding with Microsoft identity and access management solutions, structures, automation scripting, and integrations Experience with SQL and Oracle database services and solutions In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, with experience in implementing and managing security measures, patches and vulnerability mitigation. Ability to conduct and direct research into solutions with a high level of attention to detail Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing technical teams. Results driven, customer focused, and a dedicated team player with the ability to work on multiple projects with manual supervision Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Relevant certifications (Cisco, VMware, and Microsoft) are highly desirable Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the system engineering team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. Oversee VMware virtualization, Cisco network/firewall systems, SQL/Oracle databases, and storage solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Develop and implement strategies for capacity planning, monitoring, and operational stability within a highly available environment. Manage on-prem and cloud operations ensuring seamless integration and performance. Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery strategies are in place and regularly tested. Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including vulnerability management and security patches. Participate in troubleshooting activities and drive RCA process to remove future failures Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure efficiency and reliability, aligning with business goals while ensuring on-time completion, and adherence to budget constraints Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and team development. Utilize ITIL practices and agile methodologies to drive process improvements and efficiencies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and understanding of system engineering initiatives. Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations needs Om Verma Tech.
