Continuous Monitoring vulnerability remediation Profile Summary Skills we are seeking a subset or even strong interests may be helpful: Cloud Engineering Skillsets with a Kubernetes first mindset (not as much AWS, Azure, GCP PaaS) SRE/DevOps/Observability: 24x7x365 mindset with skills in Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbits, Fluentd, Elastic Stack (ELK: ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), AIOps etc. Automation Skillsets Skillsets a bit deeper Skillsets in Demand any of the 4 profiles with a reasonable (not perfect match) most need Kubernetes Engineers (6) and can add 1-2 in each scrum team from any of profile types 2/3 Kuberenetes Engineer: This includes areas like deployment, capacity planning, scalability projections, reliability, disaster recovery, performance, security and operating margin of the product. Your background in cloud architectures will aid in your success for this role. This will all take place in a CI/CD environment. Typical involvement: Drive change for Kubernetes-first (multi-cloud) architecture for system availability, scaling, security, observability and operating margins. Deep understanding of Containers (Docker), Orchestrators (Kubernetes), Helm Charts Understanding of Load-balancers (nginx), API Gateways (Kong, Ambassador), Service Mesh (Envoy, Istio), Service Discovery (Consul), SDN, Secrets Management (Vault) Queue and Data Services e.g. ElasticSearch, Postgres, Kafka Deep focus on observability e.g. Helm Charts, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, statsd, Kibana Drive stack observability Log Management, Metrics Aggregation pipeline, system alerts etc. Observability architecture: This includes areas like deployment, capacity planning, scalability projections, reliability, disaster recovery, performance, security and operating margin of the product. Define consistent monitoring, metrics and alerting across different micro-services (Docker-Kubernetes, Serverless) You are fluent with logging and monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk/Elastic, Fluent Bit, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana, SignalFx/Datadog, Application and Infrastructure monitoring tools, and Public Cloud monitoring tools such as Cloudwatch Observability focus spans heterogenous systems with predominantly Docker-Kubernetes (some VMs), Java, Load Balancers, Service mesh, API Gateways, Ingress Controllers. Focus on observability with an eye to quicker resolution of production issues Evaluating the necessary tradeoffs for competing needs from privacy/cybersecurity, data retention and performance degradation Cloud network Architecture This includes architecture around scalability (latency, throughput), reliability ( failover, failback, disaster recovery), consistency architecture across the platform components despite disparate needs, observability of system, security, privacy, capacity planning, and unit economics of the product. Your background in cloud architectures will aid in your success for this role. This will all take place in a continuous integration and delivery environment where your solid DevOps experience will be an added dimension into the architecture.
