The consultant will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation, support, and maintenance of a portfolio of enterprise business systems for our manufacturing clients across the globe. You will collaborate on early-stage concept discovery and inception to accelerate our client growth businesses and provide analyst/consulting support throughout the lifecycle of our internal startups from Ideation to Enterprise Integration. The consultant will bring in depth knowledge on the supply chain & manufacturing processes and provide subject matter expertise on assigned projects; research and evaluate emerging technologies; and facilitate the integration of data from a variety of business applications. What You'll Do: For each project, within time-boxed constraints, you will: Conduct grass-roots customer empathy and initial market research using interviews, focus groups, surveys, and secondary sources leveraging existing insights whenever possible. Define initial customer persona and problem hypotheses using human-centered design principles. Conduct market sizing with team input and build simplified financial models with scenarios that justify an investment thesis. Prepare material for strategic pitches on whether an idea should proceed/pause/perish/pivot. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): Minimum 10-15 years of progressive work experience in the Information Technology field with an emphasis on enterprise system solutions, IOT, and Industry 4.0 in a manufacturing environment University degree in Computer Science / Master in Business Administration / equivalent combination of relevant experience and education in a related field. Experience working with leadership team and demonstrated ability to influence and build relationship with cross-functional teams. XXXXXXX Use some of the statements from below in the required qualification XXXXXX ITIL Foundation and CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certifications would be considered an asset. Extensive work experience with IT business systems infrastructure and architectural design, client-server & web applications, web servers (IIS, Tomcat, Apache), API integration frameworks and application integration. Expert knowledge of T-SQL, Reporting Services (SSRS), and Integration Services (SSIS). Working knowledge in data engineering and designing and developing ETL solutions. Demonstrated exceptional Microsoft SQL Server database administration skills. Experience with programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Microsoft Access development. Working knowledge of command-line scripting languages to support process automation (e.g. Power, Perl, Python, etc.) Experience in creating technical architectural design documents providing a high-level overview of the components and fundamental interactions within the system. Broad knowledge of server and network infrastructure, operating systems, Active Directory, and mobile technologies. Knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint and Azure is considered an asset. Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts into understandable terms for business users.
