SCCM, VMWare Job Description/ Responsibilities GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Platform Solutions Design team is looking for an individual with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Systems with a focus on architectural design. The individual should have experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2019, infrastructure server designs, Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM. This position involves working on application environment design and ensure platforms are secured, up to date and are running properly. Emphasis for this position will be on planning server design, architectural designs, Server system analysis/testing, costing models, hardening and security practices. This individual will also review and test current documented process procedures and provide recommendations for enhancements. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Ideally, the candidate should have significant (5+ years) Microsoft Server System infrastructure design and building primarily with MS Windows Server 2008 through 2019. Knowledge in server analysis and system issue diagnosis, building architectural diagrams for server infrastructure, SCCM, and Experience in Azure Sentinel, Power, and ServiceNow strongly suggested. A record of working effectively with other teams and within a cross-functional team is important. Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems into Northern s environment. Participate in gathering technical and business requirements for new server builds Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers. Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers. Work with application owners and vendors to resolve technical issues. Work with project teams to complete tasks and initiatives and ensure projects are following Northern standards Troubleshooting system and server errors, reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors. Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.
