When are they willing to interview Thursday, 6/27 getting times Friday, 6/28 getting times After that, week of 7/8 Why is this REQ open The team works heavily with BI on their migration from Teradata to AWS Redshift. Daniels team is comprised in part of a group of talented DBAs, but they do not have AWS Redshift experience. The teams responsibility is to outline public cloud strategy for DB. Daniel feels that BI is driving all initiatives and his team is on the receiving end of recommendations. His team is unable to push back or provide suggestions until several days after meetings, after theyve spent time and resources researching said suggestions. The team is looking for a AWS Redshift and cloud guru to bring in house on the SDIT side of this project. Top Requirements: AWS Redshift Advanced performance tuning very experienced Experience with other database technologies running on AWS that can help with enterprise goals of getting on the public cloud Standardization Third party tools for monitoring Migration strategy Plusses Hybrid cloud technologies and strategies On prem and cloud (not as interest in different cloud providers) Look at different technologies that leverage on prem and cloud infrastructure Cockroach Couchbase Aurora Cassandra Postgress SQL Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics: The company as a whole is working to implement AWS Redshift as their cloud data warehouse. They were previously utilizing Teradata. This team is comprised of high level database engineers, however, they do not have AWS experience. They are seeking to bring an AWS expert in house to be an accelerator in solving problems and strategizing. Right now, the team receives suggestions, but the innovation is coming from those from other teams with AWS experience. They are seeking an in house expert that is an overall DB technologist and is able to think across several DBs, listen to and make suggestions to ultimately shape the companys approach and decrease the time that the team is spending on strategizing.
