Below is the position title, a brief description of responsibilities and the estimated start and end dates for an engagement. On the following page, please find the details of the service order request for this position. Objectives: Provide immediate network design and architecture support on existing projects. Develop a strategic architecture plan that aligns with the company's business goals and technological capabilities. Recommend scalable, sustainable, and secure technology solutions to drive business value. Facilitate the adoption of architectural best practices and frameworks. Assess the current state of Metropolitan Councils network architecture and identify areas for improvement. Scope of Work: Assess current network architecture and make recommendations for improvements. Design and implement scalable and reliable network solutions to meet current and future business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide network architecture guidance. Implement security measures to protect the network infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as needed. Document network configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide guidance and support to junior members of the network team. Key deliverables: Project Architecture Support Immediate work on existing projects in need of network architecture support. Architecture Plan & Execution A Strategic Network Architecture Plan, including a roadmap, implementation guidelines, and investment priorities for ongoing and new initiatives. Work with the appropriate stakeholders to come up with an execution strategy and consult as needed during various stages of the implementation. Architecture Assessment Report Documenting findings from the current architecture assessment detailing the current state, gaps, and recommendations for improvement. Target Architecture Document Detailed documentation of the target architecture, including models and diagrams. Roadmap and Implementation Plan A comprehensive plan outlining the phased implementation of the target network architecture.
