The technical requirements for this position are below. The job is 100% remote location. The duration for this project is 6 months with a possibility of extension. Please make sure that any proposed candidate has met the requirements. MUST HAVE: 7+ years experience in data architecture with a knowledge of a variety of data related disciplines such as MDM, enabling BI Semantic layer, analytics and visualization tools. Data & Master Data Management depth of knowledge (MDM) Experience with any of the following: Python, Spark, SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, erWin, CI/CD NICE TO HAVE: Retail Industry experience a plus Job Description: The Data Architect is responsible for designing data infrastructure to extract and organize data for business use. Their duties include identifying a companys internal and external data sources, collaborating with department heads to determine their data storage and organizational needs and using the information to create and maintain data infrastructure for the company. Their scope includes the relevant components required to drive sound and scalable data architecture designs that are compiled through a depth of Retail business experience. Enforcing data integrity & data quality maturity in support of both operational centralization and analytical excellence at scale. In addition, this role is responsible to define & deliver best in class Data Architecture solutions across all required domains pursuing enterprise relevant solutions for high-value critical data covering master & transactional data including but not limited to Product/Item, Customer/Consumer, Location, Supplier/Vendor, Calendar, Price and all required Hierarchies, Reference data and Metadata. They will deliver a highly connected, single version of truth through our Enterprise Semantic Layer. They will participate in defining their components within and adhere to overall project lifecycle. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors in Computer Science or relevant field, 7+ years experience in data architecture with a knowledge of a variety of data related disciplines such as MDM, enabling BI Semantic layer, analytics and visualization tools. Proven work experience as a Data Architect In-depth understanding of database structure principles Data & Master Data Management depth of knowledge Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements\\ Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques Business Process Centric Data Architecture enabling efficiency Data processes and performant, easy to use solutions Data Quality practice that enables - Business intelligence & Design thinking Cross Domain of Functional & Master Data knowledge Data Architecture Modeling: Analytical and Operational Data Architecture designs & management including Taxonomy & Hierarchy capabilities Data Analysis, Querying Experience with Python, Spark, SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, erWin, CI/CD Proficiency in MS Excel Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) Proven analytical skills Problem-solving attitude\\ Compliance, Privacy and regulatory data knowledge Retail Industry experience a plus ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage with a collaborative and proactive approach to solving key business & data challenges through data architecture --- enforcing the build once deploy many approach through our data designs.
