Job Description PLEASE MENTION WORK AUTHORIZATION AND LOCATION Indianapolis, Indiana (Hybrid) Senior SQL Developer Must have Experience working with Apache Spark for large-scale, Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, and EC2. Experience with MPP data warehousing concepts and experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Teradata Solid understanding of healthcare data domains and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). Our client is seeking a talented Senior SQL Developer with a strong background in Python, Spark, AWS, and MPP Dataware to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our data warehouse infrastructure to support advanced analytics and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to drive actionable insights and has a proven track record of success in implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure using SQL, Python, Spark, and AWS technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable database designs. Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques. Implement data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest and transform data from disparate sources. Develop and maintain data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data. Implement security best practices to protect sensitive healthcare data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide expertise in MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) data warehousing technologies to support large-scale analytics initiatives. Conduct table and column tracing to troubleshoot data quality issues and optimize data flows. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of experience as a SQL Developer with a strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and analysis. Experience working with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, and EC2. Strong understanding of MPP data warehousing concepts and experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Teradata. Solid understanding of healthcare data domains and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Desired Skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks (e.g., HL7, FHIR). Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
