The solution is an iOT solution using AWS. We have engineered bins to store different medication container types such as boxes or vials. Bins are iOT devices which monitor (and in some cases such as controlled medication allow) medication being placed in or out of. The bins communicate up to AWS Cloud where we have a rich set of reporting and alerts providing the Hospital the visibility they are missing. The iOT device is based on MP Labs ATSAMD21G18A and SAMD21. Firmware is written in C, we utilize MPLABS X IDE along with PICkit4 and 5. Custom boards are manufactured for Thiopoly. The embedded developer should have deep knowledge of PCB boards under different designs as well as coding in C/C++ firmware. Sensors include Pressure, Motion and Time-of-Flight. Gateway uses AWS GreenGrass to manage devices and communicate to Cloud.
