This position is a six-month contract with potential for extension or permanent conversion, requiring immediate start. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Linux environments and a foundational understanding of Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage Linux Patch management solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to NFS file systems, job performance, and VDI machines. Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems including Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu. Perform system monitoring using Linux monitoring tools and address performance issues. Handle installation and management of chassis and blade servers. Manage storage solutions including NFS and iSCSI. Execute and automate tasks using scripting in Bash, Python, and Ansible. Utilize version control systems like SVN and GitLab. Administer virtual environments using VMware and Citrix Storefront. Develop and deploy virtual machines from templates and troubleshoot related issues. Skills and Qualifications: 6+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator. Experience with IBM LSF job scheduler and familiarity with EDA applications. Proficiency in network services and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and Load Balancing. Knowledge of database maintenance for MySQL and PostgreSQL. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform hands-on hardware installations.
