Please ensure we are getting candidates that can WRITE ANSIBLE CODE (i.e. yml, python, power, etc.) and not candidates that know how to run playbooks that another individual wrote. Requirements 1. Infrastructure capacity planning. 2. IT asset management tools and processes. 3. Database, network, and application middleware tools. 4. Ansible and YML scripting language 5. Kafka Experience Responsible for Administration and Automation of IT Infrastructure using Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform which includes server build, software installation, configuration, OS Patching, Application Patching and Network & Database Services installation and configuration. Work in an embedded role with infrastructure teams to assist their development of reliable code. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Serve in the role of technical subject matter expert, refining existing functional requirements for infrastructure automation. 2. Understanding and ability to develop/script in one or more of the following languages: XML, Java Script, JSON, Perl, Python, Power, BASH. 3. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in the automation stack. 4. Desired Cloud exposure to AWS, AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS, RedShift, Lambda and Azure. 5. Delivery of assigned projects on the Automation Roadmap. 6. Collaborates with management and system architects to assess near and long-term needs. 7. Conducts research on infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, services, and standards to remain abreast of developments in automation. 8. Perform requirements analysis on automation tools. 9. Development, configuration, integration and testing in support of multiple network platforms. 10. Develops automations for manual processes. 11. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking/communication protocols. 12. Knowledge of Microsoft Server platforms and MS network services. 13. Knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux network services. 14. Evangelize infrastructure automation processes, tools, standards and Rely Team responsibilities with application, architecture and infrastructure organizations.
