Job Title : SQL DBA Location :Minneapolis (Remote) Duration :Long term contract Job Description: Minimum of 10 yrs work experience as Sql DBA with the following skills/requirements. We are looking for a very hands on candidate In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 through 2019 Administration and Engines. Ability to migrate legacy SQL installs to modern methods (Azure SQL. Rightsizing DBs to appropriate versions (Developer, Standard, Enterprise, etc) Continuous security and maintenance of all SQL instances Validation of our entire SQL environments with constructive recommendations for improvement (task automation, etc). Experience with Azure SQL/Cloud DB services are mandatory. Coordinate with Data Warehouse Architects and DevOps Engineers to implement and enhance data pipeline orchestration using Azure DevOps. Experience Using SQL Profiler traces and other tools to find the most frequently run queries and debugging skills. Expert-level knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database maintenance operations. Expert in Performance tuning and query optimization using DMVs, Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Proficiency authoring and analyzing T-SQL code and schema (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints). Experience in troubleshooting, configuration management and experience with High Availability (HA). Experience in Managing SQL database Cluster, replication & Mirroring. Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data migration scripts.
