This role develops solutions within HealthPartners predefined database architecture. This position works closely with application developers to identify needs and set up appropriate pipelines to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the database. The engineer is responsible for functions and automation that pertain to development, analysis, performance tuning, and modeling of data. Required Qualifications: 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field OR 3+ years IT related experience Self-learner with desire to solve difficult problems. 2+ years' experience SQL and PL/SQL or T-SQL programming 2+ years' experience with Unix , Perl, or OS scripting language 2+ years' experience with performance tuning Strong knowledge of operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux) Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience doing database backup and recovery. Available to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and be on-call (7 days x 24 hours) Effectively use Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint 2+ years' experience with DevOps or database administration Experience creating DevOps and Automation (i.e., Ansible, Jenkins, Git) solutions. Experience with OpenShift Experience with Liquibase Experience with Azure Public Cloud Experience working in an agile/scrum environment. Administration of Oracle Exadata appliance.
