Years of experience: 7-10+ years Job Description: As a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator and SQL Server Replication Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality database administration services to App/Dev Teams, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of SQL Server databases and replication. You will work closely with our IT teams to assess database infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability. In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database administration, and SQL Server Replication administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance is necessary for the position. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, are necessary. Daily Tasks: Conduct assessments of SQL Server database environments to identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement. Conduct assessments of SQL Server Replication Servers to identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement. Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server database instances according to best practices and requirements. Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server Replication Services according to best practices and requirements. Perform ongoing monitoring and maintenance of SQL Server databases and Replication to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and minimize downtime. Optimize SQL Server database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and database schema refinement. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for SQL Server-related issues and incidents. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for SQL Server-Replication-related issues and incidents. Develop and implement SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
