PERFORMANCE DETAILS : 1. Whats the major objective(s) of the role Specifically, what does this person need to do to be considered a success What will they be working on Design and write Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Cases, Test Scripts and execute Test Cases with reference to the Business Requirements, Design Specifications and Functional Requirements. Update the Test Cases based on the Requirement Changes and execute the Test Cases. Develop and execute SQL Queries to extract and validate the data in the QA environments. Execute backend tests using SQL queries to extract data from the database. QA testing of web applications, Salesforce, API using Postman. Analyze and interpret test results and application logs to determine system behavior. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and research application/system issues as required and propose solutions to problems; provide resolution in a timely and accurate way, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Work with Software Quality Assurance team members and technology leads to identify the appropriate data needed for testing is identified within the timeframe of testing milestones. Document, communicate, and work to resolve all defects found during testing. Ensure defects are entered within the DentaQuest Enterprise Defect Tracking System with an appropriate sense of urgency and monitor/track progress through resolution. Ensure the scope of testing for requirements are complete and functional testing is accurate to meet the business needs. Facilitate communications and/or meetings as needed to ensure all information has been received, content understood and any additional information needed has been provided 2. What are the MUST HAVE technologies for this position (Please list must have technologies / technical skills and what the candidate needs to do in order to be considered great at them) 1. Technical skills including basic SQL queries and expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to write and execute SQL queries using various joins. 2. API Testing using Postman for Get and Post Methods 3. Good Knowledge of the Salesforce Application. Ability to run workbench SOQL queries. 4. Proficient testing front-end applications for our portals. 3. What are the MUST HAVE Critical Skills for this position (For critical skills, please also describe what the person needs to do with them in order to be considered very good at it.) 1. Strong critical thinking attributes with ability to reprioritize workload or escalate issues as needed with minimal intervention. 2. Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops Application for Test Case Management 2. Experience using automated testing tools such as Selenium and Java script. 3. Knowledge of automation writing scripts and running regression testing Description: The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst I supports operational goals and objectives by working closely with software developers, SQA peers, and business stakeholders to review use cases and develop and execute test plans, and test cases to ensure application development meets or exceeds business requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities: Perform testing on an agile team Work with the Development Team to develop and document test plans and test cases Review all documentation provided by the project teams and ensure full understanding of the documented requirements, technical enhancements, process development and workflow configuration required Create and execute test scripts using manual and automated testing as specified by DQ standards Document, communicate, and work to resolve all defects found during testing Seek team and stakeholder feedback on all test plans and test cases Diagnose, troubleshoot and research application/system issues as required and propose solutions to problems; provide resolution in a timely and accurate way, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction Ensure defects are entered within the DentaQuest Enterprise Defect Tracking System with an appropriate sense of urgency and monitor/track progress through resolution Participate in all required meetings to gain additional requirement knowledge, confirm current state of project and stay apprised of any changes being made Create reusable test plans and test case templates and processes as needed Develop, execute, validate and document thorough and accurate regression and smoke test scenarios Prepare documentation using tools such as Visio, Word and Excel Participate in the testing of enterprise software upgrade initiatives Take the primary testing role on projects that may be waterfall in nature Presenting findings to IT stakeholders Other duties as assigned. Requirements: BS degree or equivalent work experience or training in IT, Computer Science or related field Experience using automation tools 5 years of experience in IT discipline with demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility. 2 years experience in Software Quality Assurance and proficiency with general office productivity software Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to details Proven quality assurance analysis skills. Business 'subject matter expert' (SME) experience may qualify as equivalent experience.
