This team builds applications supporting Portfolio Managers & Operations Service Lines across the Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations organization to provide a unified view of digital processing across FFIO. In this role, you will serve as a Principal Software Engineer for a robust team of digital technologists, located both on-shore and off-shore. You will facilitate discussions between the product sponsor, technology team and partners to define business requirements. You will support your team in the development and delivery of those requirements into production. This role often requires coordinating the efforts of multiple systems teams to deliver a seamlessly integrated solution to our customers. The Expertise You Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study and/or 5+ years development experience Robust critical thinking skills, coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and engage with peers in technical and design discussions Demonstrable experience communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners and partners Ability to apply a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to the other developers The Skills You Bring Ability to successfully deliver mid to large-scale initiatives by empowering and supporting your team and by helping to identify and remove impediments Hands on experience running technology initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery. Strong Oracle RDS experience Solid knowledge in Java and Spring Boot framework. Proficiency in delivery of Business Process Management frameworks and tools is preferred (Camunda or other industry product-Appian, Pega, etc) Solid technical background in crafting and developing enterprise digital applications with MVC design pattern, micro front-end strategy and open micro service architectures. Demonstrable experience with building digital restful APIs (GraphQL is a plus). Deep understanding and experience of version control system management using various Git workflows. Demonstrable experience in DevOps standard processes and tools like Jenkins or Jenkins Core, and Git/GitHub. Solid knowledge of cloud solutions, serverless architecture, containerization strategies. Demonstrable experience in container and cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes and AWS, as well as secure application development. Quality-first, testable solutions using TDD and automation. In-depth knowledge secure coding standards and practices. Experience in Agile and Scrum development methodology.
