We are currently seeking a talented and experienced SQL Database Architect to join our dynamic team. Being that we serve a growing and complex market, we rely heavily on efficient database management and optimization to support our operations and growth. Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Architect with a deep understanding of Postgres and extensive experience in developing and optimizing stored procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database architecture to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL databases in Postgres. Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other tuning techniques. Develop and implement stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support business logic and data manipulation requirements. Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand database requirements and optimize database design accordingly. Perform database migrations, upgrades, and data migrations as needed. Monitor database health and performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Ensure database security and compliance with data protection regulations. Document database architecture, processes, and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a SQL Database Architect or similar role. In-depth knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts. Extensive experience with PostgresSQL. Strong understanding of stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with database monitoring and management tools Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Nice to Have: Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra. Experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS or Google Cloud SQL. Relevant certifications such as PostgreSQL Certified Engineer.
