Provide support to Application Development staff. Provide a complete list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: Assist the Database team with various ongoing tasks, including but not limited to database installation, configuration and hardening, backup validation, performance tuning and general database monitoring, as well as recommend best practices and procedures; Install, upgrade and maintain Oracle databases on AIX, including backup and recovery; Allocate storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system; Work with teams of application programmers, system architects to create solutions to meet business goals; Perform off-hours (evening or weekend work) as needed for emergency or maintenance tasks; Provide support for internal users and external data exchange partners; Perform optimization and tuning activities, including capacity planning, tracking historical usage, trending future resource needs, and modifying resource allocations as needed; Provide recommendations on technical architecture; Provide recommendations on Oracle Advance Security including TDE, Oracle Wallet and remote authentication; Provide hands-on training and mentoring for other database administrative staff. Provide support to Application Development staff. Handle Requests and Incidents submitted through ITSM tickets. Oracle database software installed on AIX. Oracle Exadata. What type of hardware is typically used by the Agency: IBM-AIX. Exadata. 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. List all the Position Requested Qualifications: 84 months of experience as an Oracle DBA in AIX/Unix environment. This experience includes: database implementations, upgrades, conversions and consolidations, database compliance, security, and auditing including Oracle Advanced Security, remote authentication, and Oracle wallet configuration 60 months of experience installing/maintaining/tuning databases that support OBIEE and Oracle Business Intelligence Application software. 84 months of experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to monitor and analyze database issues and find solutions to correct the problems. 24 months of experience maintaining Oracle databases on AIX that support SAP BusinessObject InfoView, and applications that use Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
