Job Title:             Certified Senior Project Manager IV

Location:             100% remote
with occasional visits to central office at 3099 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI ||LOCAL

Duration:             6 months contract

Interview:           telephonic and WebEx

15+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years of project management.

Tools and techniques used in this position include, but are not limited to:

--Ability to train and mentor other PMs and managers on DOC's PM standards and policies.

--Ability to learn and train others on DOCs Project Management and Portfolio tools including MS Project Server and Jira.

--Strong PM in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

--Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

--Manage and coordinate IT project related activities according to DOC's standards and policies.

--Assist customers in the identification and effective resolution of IT needs.

--Project management certification required (PMP, etc). Certification should be uploaded with bid submission.
Candidates without a certification will be REJECTED.

Nice to have skills:

--Perform complex system analysis and requirement studies to develop new applications and/or enhance existing computer systems and programs.

--Provide advice and assistance to IT Governance management.

--Microsoft 365 Subject Matter Expert working with end-users to find solutions to their business needs.

The Department of Corrections, Division of Management Services, is recruiting for a Collaboration and Project Management (CAPM) Project Manager position.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Collaboration and Project Management Supervisor this position will provide leadership and direction to the Bureaus technology staff. The position will plan and manage the delivery of business systems solutions along with associated application technology for the Department of Corrections (DOC). This includes systems and project planning, estimating, execution, implementation, and ongoing support. The individual will work closely with the functional business groups within DOC to ensure effectiveness of system solutions deployed. This position will review detailed systems specifications to ensure the development and support of new systems and enhancement of existing systems is consistent with agency development and support methodologies, standards, and policies. Additionally, the position will also be responsible for helping to prioritize and manage the portfolio of DOC projects.

The
CAPM Project Manager position shall comply with the Departments administrative rules and the agencys policies and procedures including those related to the Department's overall Reentry philosophy of using evidence-based strategies, practices and programs which target an offenders individual criminogenic needs and risk level.

Job Details:

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants before selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant offered employment in a position requiring a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to the job. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.

Qualifications:

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
