Data Architect Work Location : NYC, NY Required Work Authorization: USC, GC, H4, GC-EAD Project Type: Long Term Project Need Locals Banking Domain Responsibilities: Design strategies for databases, schema(s) and table(s) needed for enterprise application development. Day-to-Day Responsibilities includes - Use data modeling tools like ER/Studio to visualize and design data architecture, responsible for developing and optimizing database models to store and retrieve data. Develop and enforce database development standards to integrate new systems and functions like security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data recovery to maintain Integrity and trustworthiness with confidential data. Evaluating current databases and architecture to plan what changes, upgrades, and improvements they need for new implementation. Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability. Develop data governance model for compliance with zero tolerance data security of data at rest. Work along with clients data architects to help define DB strategies, participate in DB design sessions, active contribution in database structure development. Design and develop database architectural diagrams to represent and explain to application development teams. Updating and monitoring databases for maintaining database security. Auditing database regularly to maintain high data quality standards. Review and analyze data infrastructure, plan future databases, and implement solutions to securely store and manage data for organizations and their users. Required Skills: Overall 15+ years of experience in Database development area of IT software development along with minimum of 5~7 years of experience in Data Architect role. Experience in data architecture, system analysis, database management in MS-SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc. Strong analytical skills with problem-solving attitude. Data mining, date visualization skills with knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java with knowledge of any scripting languages SQL/PL-SQL/T SQL. Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies with knowledge of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, structured / unstructured data, and predictive analytics. Communication skills - Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders to better understand what data the business requires and how it should be collected and managed. Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field. Prior experience of working on heterogenous and homogenous data migration for clients in investment banking will be an added advantage.
