Job Description: Position Description: Champion PostgreSQL Community Edition and drive innovation and automation. Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process. Provide guidance/support/training to other junior/mid-level staff. Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace. All other duties as assigned or directed. Skills Requirements: FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement. Proven experience with PostgreSQL Community Edition. *** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD *** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week. FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills) These skills will help you succeed in this position: Excellent communication and written skills. Senior Level knowledge of PostgreSQL Community Edition. Senior Level knowledge of PostgreSQL recovery and high availability. Strong experience installing, maintaining, and documenting PG in an RedHat Linux environment. Experience with GIT/BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence or similar tools Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Understanding of database techniques and best practices. HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills) Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills: Experience with Ansible automation and best practices. Proven work in DevOps Environment. Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
