Years Required/Preferred Experience 7 Required Extensive experience performing all aspects of IT project management duties in large data center environments, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. 6 Required Experience reviewing critical operational initiatives and regulatory documents. 6 Required Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite of applications including Project. 6 Required Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 6 Required Ability to facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders. 6 Required Excellent at monitoring project deliverables and milestones to ensure they are met according to the project plan. 5 Required Proficient generating project status reports for different management layers. 5 Required Solid working with IT procurements, budget, forecasts and analysis for the different projects. 5 Required Experience working closely with internal and external vendors and/or service providers to ensure our operations requirements are appropriately provisioned. 5 Required Strong managing continual cost-benefit / savings analysis and operation action plans. 5 Required Proficient at preparing canned and ad hoc system performance reports for management. 5 Required Experience performing cost containment functions which includes analysis of the storage utilization and the backup and recovery data. 3 Preferred Experience working on government fiscal and budget management supporting data centers. 2 Preferred Experience using Remedy, ITSM, PPM, Archer, Jira and ServiceNow. 2 Preferred Experience preparing and tracking security exemption requests. This position performs IT Project Management duties in support of TIERS Data Center Services and Operations. This position reports to the Director of HHSC IT DCS&O TIERS Operation. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of independent judgment. Performs consultative work providing program guidance, status reporting, works with various level of management, understands IT procurement procedures, and budget forecast/analysis. Responsibilities include consultation with many aspects of the TIERS Infrastructure and Operations team. IT project management includes managing continual cost-benefit / savings analysis and operation action plans. Provides increased visibility into the allocation of TIERS DCS project, resources; funds, hardware, and software; Reviews critical operational initiatives and regulatory documents. Tracks budgets versus actuals. Prepares and track security exemption request. Prepares canned and ad hoc performance reports to TIERS DCS and HHSC management. Assist in developing agency computer operations and management information systems budgets. Works with TIERS Director on fiscal and budget management supporting Data Center Services infrastructure and operations.
