Our client is looking to add two DevOps Engineers to their data linking team to work alongside the developers that are rewriting an on-prem data linking tool into Java and deploying it into AKS clusters or virtual machines. The ideal candidate will come from a Java development background and will be working with the Java Developers to build CI/CD pipelines and deploy code into virtual machines or AKS clusters. These resources will be responsible for helping to automate QA/testing, getting the pipelines set up & working across dev/prod/non-prod, as well as setting up data pipelines to deploy data from on-prem to Azure cloud, and assisting with the orchestration process. The successful candidate should be able to: - Create GitHub Actions to build and containerize our Java applications - Utilize the generated Docker containers to verify the apps are working using Docker Desktop - Troubleshoot the containerized applications, and resolve issues that are found - Create GitHub Actions to generate JARs and upload them to JFrog - Work with our SRE team to deploy containerized apps to Azure - Work with our SRE team to define application secrets in HashiCorp Vault, and inject those secrets into app containers Must Haves: Background in development with Java, Python, NoSql Databases, Databricks Experienced with Git/GitHub/GitLab, Github Actions, Gitlab DevOps, Jenkins Experienced with Azure, Kubernetes, JFrog, Docker Experience helping clients migrate applications into Azure Proficiency in YAML Expertise with creating and maintaining automated build pipelines Experience with different messaging queues e.g. Kafka, Service Bus Experience with deploying applications to Virtual Machines Familiarity of industry best practices code standards Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity Knowledge of data storage subsystems, CosmosDB Security best practices required Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault or Azure Key Vault Experience working alongside SRE teams Knowledge of helm charts and optionally ArgoCD Plusses: Experience with Linux or Windows admin/config Frontend experience Regards, Komal Gupta | Technical Recruiter Largeton INC.
