Must have:

Expertise
with Puppet Versions from version 3 to newest

Experience
with Puppet, Puppets declarative language to specify system configuration
in Puppet manifests, complex resource dependencies, compilation into
catalogs for distribution to target systems/servers, and split Puppet
Master architecture.

7+
years of Linux Redhat (must have experience with version 6, 7, 8,
preferably 9 if possible)

client UCOP is in the middle of moving a datacenter from San Diego to AWS. They
have older Linux OS Servers that have Puppet (versions 3 & 6) and both need
to be upgraded and automated for the migration.

Job
Description:

Expertise with
automation/configuration management using Puppet.

Good knowledge with
Puppet, Puppets declarative language to specify system configuration in
Puppet manifests, complex resource dependencies, compilation into catalogs
for distribution to target systems/servers, and split Puppet Master Architecture.

Proven configuration
management skills and mindset.

Experience maintaining
large clusters using configuration tools such as : Puppet/Chef.

Strong practical Linux
based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment
- Prior experience of.

Qualifications:

Expertise with Puppet Versions
from version 3 to newest.

Operating highly
available and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Strong hands-on
experience in any of the scripting language Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby.

Experience with revision
control source code repositories (Git, SVN, etc).

Work with development
teams to identify and implement automation in appropriate areas.

Knowledge on distributed
applications/enterprise applications is plus.

Deep, working knowledge
of web, database, and OS server configuration (Linux, Apache, and MySQL
