This is a fully remote opportunity working mostly EST hours. The successful DevOps Engineers will be responsible for delivering a Kubernetes-based Jenkins solution running in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to accommodate and scale large application workloads. The cloud engineers will also be responsible for migrating application pipelines and configurations from an on-premise data center to the cloud-deployed solution. Once the new environment is fully tested, the engineers will decommission the old environment. The engineers will work in Agile teams located in the US and India, operating in two-week sprints. All resources will be remote and will need to use GPN-owned hardware to access resources to deliver the objectives. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement a Kubernetes-based Jenkins solution on GCP. Migrate application pipelines and configurations from an on-premise data center to the cloud-deployed solution. Decommission the old environment post successful testing and migration. Collaborate with Agile teams across the US and India to ensure smooth delivery of the project. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes. Monitor system performance and ensure system scalability to handle large application workloads. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the Kubernetes infrastructure. Ensure the security and compliance of the cloud infrastructure. Document all processes and maintain a clear record of developed code. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Requirements: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in software development and system administration. Groovy and Python coding skills Github experience with pull request reviews using code branching strategies Terraform and understanding of IaC deployments through modules. Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GCP. Jenkins deployment and pipeline build experience. (with Jenkins extended shared Libraries ) GCP cloud, Network service (NAT, LB(HTTP/TCP, SSL Policies) VPCNetwork, computing, WAF, IAM, Kubernetes GKE, container orchestration, SSL certificates Istio service mesh knowledge. Experience in migrating applications from on-premise to cloud environments. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies. Ability to demo and document progress on project completion deliverables Quickly learn from architectural building block diagrams and adjust the design as needed per product owner requests. Previous work with Artifactory Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently Quickly learn from architectural building block diagrams and adjust the design as needed per product owner requests. Provide updates to project managers/scrummasters and shift focus quickly based on business needs. Security tooling to include Prisma cloud, WIZ, or any security code scanning software Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
