Job Title Business Analyst Location Quincy MA Duration 12 months /Contract To Hire JOB DESCRIPTION USC/GC Must be Local to MA and be on site 3 days a week in Quincy, MA PROGRAM OVERVIEW: BA or BSA with both Healthcare experience and someone that has been part of a Cloud Migration. The Cloud Migration part is equally important as the Healthcare. Must have Cloud Migration Projects and recent Healthcare. Day to Day: Gap analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements, and systems documentation through the project life cycle, including discovery, design, development, testing, and implementation of projects and any enhancements to meet the project objectives. Must Haves: Experience with Business, IT or Healthcare administration with minimum 3 years experience, or equivalent in healthcare administration setting Plus: Cloud Migration experience Important Skills Technical gap analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements, and systems documentation Soft Prior Cloud Migration experience The Massachusetts Executive Oce of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is the largest secretariat in the MA state government, comprised of 16 agencies with over 23,000 employees statewide. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) seeks a Senior Business Analyst (BA) to support our Cloud Migration initiative. The BA will report to the Cloud Project Manager. Responsibilities will include gap analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements, and systems documentation through the project life cycle, including discovery, design, development, testing, and implementation of projects and any enhancements to meet the project objectives. The BA should be well-versed in the systems development lifecycle and testing cycles. Previous Cloud Migration experience desired. Preference will be given to candidates with Medicaid systems, testing, and prior government experience. The BA must have sufficient knowledge of working in an Information Technology (IT) environment. Ensure the entire scope of work aligns with standard operational procedures and standard practices. The BA primary responsibility is to support the Cloud PM to oversee delegated areas of responsibility, project vetting of documentation, validation of implemented coding through self-testing or coordination with testing team meets the requirements and conforms to all applicable Federal and state laws. Note this position will be temporarily remote. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate business and technical analytical skills. DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Cloud migration activities to support design, documentation, and validation. Lead and participate in joint application discovery, design, test sessions with stakeholders. Conduct and document data analysis and query, as well as gap analysis. Develop test strategies, test scenarios and test cases based on written requirements. Execute and review test runs and sign off on testing components. Document business, functional and systems requirements and participate in their development and testing. Provide oversight role, as required, during the stabilization phase of each migration including monitoring of system change execution, the development of system fix strategies and the close monitoring of the implementation of those strategies. Communicate updates and changes to impacted stakeholders and project teams. Collaborate with technical and vendor teams to capture, track and vet requirements and create traceability from requirements to implementation. Collaborate, where required, to capture and change activities. Provide back up to support PM where required. Other responsibilities as required.
