Role: Data Scientist (Power BI/Crystal Reports) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12+ Month MOI: Video and coding NO OPT & H1B Note: Candidate must be an expert with power bi/crystal reports. Power BI, Automate, Apps building algorithms, building intake tools Database Design creating schemas, dimension tables Advanced analytics extracting insights from data sets Building dashboards Working with database engineers Duties & Responsibilities: Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements. Translate business requirements into prototypes that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources. Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users. Provide interactive dashboards and key performance indicators using Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services Microsoft Excel, SharePoint Online or newly identified BI tools. Provide end-user support and encourage user adoption. Act as Tier 3 support for end-users of BI tools. Train end-users on basic functionality. Direct users to training material and available resources. Under general direction, responsible for converting business requirements and high-level data collection needs into well-specified analyses, reporting and visualizations. Gathers BI requirements, design solutions and works with developers on their delivery. Utilizes selected platforms including SQL Server, Power BI, along with SSRS, to successfully deploy business intelligence solutions to satisfy information requirements. Create solutions following technology standards and best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes. Performs report and dashboard performance tuning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field like accounting, data analytics, economics, statistics or similar is desired. 5+ years of relevant experience to include use of common BI tools including Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, Sisense, SAP Crystal Reports, IBM Cognos, Qlik, MS SQL Server, MS Analysis. Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills. Transact SQL writing skills. Report writing skills.
