A BS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of 3 years in supporting/troubleshooting and deploying networks in a large enterprise or service provider
A strong background in configuring Routers/switches/Wireless Controllers with expertise and knowledge of (but not limited to) the OSPF, BGP, IPV4 & V6, STP, MPLS, 802.11AC, AX protocols
Knowledge on firewalls and Load balancers is desirable.
Experience using Ekahau Site Survey and/or similar Wireless Planning tools.
Ekahau Certified System Engineer (ECSE) Certification or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

The Network Engineer will need to have the skills necessary to perform the following tasks:
Design/deploy solutions that scale to meet requirements and are easily supportable
Monitor and support/troubleshoot networks to meet application requirements
Leverage strong technical skills and engineering rigor to ensure the creation of comprehensive and effective Standards and Designs
Work closely with Network Architects and Engineering Teams to understand emerging technologies and how they will benefit the Microsoft network and its users
Validate and revise key engineering artifacts such as standards and deployment guidelines
Develop and maintain an extensive understanding of the Microsoft network environment
Participate in network health analysis and optimization via monitoring and capacity planning
Establish partnership(s) with Suppliers and Manufacturers for the procurement of Network Hardware
Ability to work with Asset Management and Inventory Tools/Apps
Assist with the definition and tracking of key performance metrics to assess cross-organizational compliance on mutually agreed performance and availability targets
