Position: Network Administrator Location: Columbus, Ohio Hybrid work Onsite and Remote Duration: 1 year contract Potential for Contract to Hire Start: ASAP US citizen or Green card candidates only! NO EXCEPTIONS Job Description: The Network Technical Specialist must demonstrate enterprise-level ability to support a mature environment and associated services in a large dynamic, global environment. Design, implement and support Routers, Switches, Access points and related technologies including but not limited to, LAN, WAN, DMVPN, MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP. Primary Responsibilities: Design and manage the rollout of various network infrastructures with necessary capacity planning, performance tuning, and configuration optimization Possess extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of edge networks and WAN architectures. Excellent understanding of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, DmVPN and a good understanding of network industry standards and network security practices. Execute job duties with minor supervision, installs, configures, and tests in accordance to change management processes and policies. Conduct network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex network problems and provide end users with support for network related issues or as directed by the function manager. Escalate issues with broader implications for entire network to more senior network engineers. Utilizes monitoring tools to capture and analyze network traffic, maintain uptime, generate usage reports, spot trends, and report any anomalies to supervisor. Assist with core network tasks such as racking and configuring switches, routers, VLANs, firewall management, etc. Monitor, update, resolve or escalate service requests and incidents in accordance with Hikma SLA. Work with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions according to business requirements and in line with Hikma standards and solutions best practices. Support and adhere to Company's Code of Conduct, ethics policy, standard operating procedures, change management and all other company specific or departmental policies. Participate in the weekly On-Call rotation schedule. Role Requirements The candidate must have: The ability to work independently as part of a global team while partnering with application owners, technical business units, data center services vendors and other diverse areas within IT in an ongoing basis.
