Location: NYC, 100% Onsite Duration: 6+ month MOI: Phone/Skype Client: BGC Partners NO H1B/OPT Note: Candidate must have experience with Java, Cassandra, Hadoop and MapReduce 10+ YEARS TOTAL EXPERIENCE(US EXPERIENCE) 7+ YEARS IN BIG DATA THE LAST 4 YEARS MUST COME FROM A NATIONAL OR GLOBAL BANKING INSTITUTION (OTHERS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED) JD: The role is taking/pulling/creating the pipeline of unstructured Data from Cassandra breaking it down and cleaning/scrubbing it with MapReduce through the Hadoop ecosystem. Java skills are important and needed as it is the native language of Hadoop and MapReduce. So the candidate should have expertise in this area as well as experience dealing with very large datasets of over 20 million records at a time. The engineers will also be performing other duties like maintaining data, managing frameworks, and transforming data from other sources to Cassandra. Candidates must have extensive HIGH-LEVEL experience working with Java, Cassandra, Hadoop and MapReduce and it must show on the resume.
