The candidate will develop enhancements and new functionality for our in-house suite of applications written in Cobol. Responsibilities will include creation of technical specifications, architecting high-end solutions, hands-on development, creating test plans according to Clients published Development Process Framework and providing production support. Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Sr.Cobol Developer. Experience with Fujitsu NetCobol or MicroFocus Cobol desired. Experience with relational databases required (Sybase a plus). MQ, Unix and Unix shell scripting a plus. Solid experience in full software development cycle, including application architecture, technical specs, analysis, software development, testing large-scale software applications, assisting SQA teams with UAT testing, production support. Experience in the financial industry with knowledge of trade flow and corporate actions a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Exceptional interpersonal communication and strong team collaboration skills. Good project management skills. Possesses the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Experience testing software designed for elaborate business scenarios. Aptitude for learning new things and flexibility to adapt and follow guidelines. Must-have: Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Sr.Cobol Developer. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Sybase a plus).
