Provide a short description of the Position: The CONNECTIONS project is an ongoing effort to provide the development, maintenance, and support activities on the New York State's Automated Child Welfare Information System for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies. This system includes the following components: Child Protective Services (CPS) Intake Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation Resource Directory & Foster Adoptive Home Development (FAD) Case Management / Family Services (FSS) This system is a complex and highly integrated application which consists of several development and end user supported environments. These environments interface/interact with legacy applications and other 3rd party software. The requested position is needed to augment current CONNECTIONS staff in the application technical design & development of CONNECTIONS system enhancements. With the OCFS moving towards seeking the Federal Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) compliance, this resource will be a cornerstone to our ability to execute the requirements set forth by the CCWIS regulations. This resource will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of user interfaces, business logic and database development. Provide a complete list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: participation in requirement and design sessions Setting technical direction for the future of the CONNECTIONS application Serve as a conduit between technical and non-technical staff explaining new software/controls/processes Serve as technical lead for interfacing with legacy applications Serve as technical guide for new designs incorporating WPF and WCF functionality Establish UI design standards Guide team of technical staff in conducting reviews to ensure coding standards are adhered to Evaluation and selection of 3rd party software to be incorporated into Connections application Guide senior developers in the use of MVVM patterns Guide senior developers in the user of the pre-established development framework for the Connections application Developing appropriate system documentation. Performing reviews of other developers' checked-in WCF, WPF, and .NET code ensuring CONNECTIONS coding standards and practices are observed. List all the Position Requested Qualifications: 84 months of experience designing, developing and supporting child welfare applications under the SACWIS or CCWIS federal regulations. 84 months experience developing applications using VB.NET and .net framework 4.0 or above. 84 months experience developing applications using WPF. 84 months experience developing applications using WCF. 84 months experience developing applications using the MVC, MVVM, or similar patterns. 84 months experience using ODP.NET, SQL, PL/SQL, writing stored procedures, functions, packages in minimum version of Oracle 10g or higher. 72 months experience performing regression and integration testing. 72 months experience writing unit tests using Rhino Mocks.
