Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters. Has overall responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to technology projects that may span multiple business units or the entire enterprise. This position will continuously work in partnership with different business and technical stakeholders and will provide tactical management and project administration to the project team. This position is responsible for the coordination of leading multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver technology projects of varying size and complexity, focusing specifically on software implementation or enhancement projects. The Delivery Manager job responsibilities include: Oversees the execution all aspects of the project implementation for large scale corporative initiatives, which may include cost benefits analysis, work plans, functional and technical designs, construction testing and implementation. Ensures efficient and high-quality installation of new software and /or systems and monitors all technical aspects of implementing projects. Creates a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project. Provides both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks, and issues, and makes recommendations on project decision to Program Manager and Senior Management. Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available departmental resources to various project phases. Ensures that forms and records are created to document the project activities and progress. Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones and required tasks. Assigns duties and responsibilities to project personnel. Overcomes challenges and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion of the project. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
