Calibration - Drivability Development Engineer

Auburn Hills, MI

Carrying out and analysis of tests intended for the calibration or validation of the Drivability and Engine-Gearbox Intersystem functions (characterization of the powertrain, idle speed PIV, anti-lock, PIV IS, not exhaustive)
Engaging in development missions (hot; cold; temperate; altitude)Preparation and dissemination of reports
Acquisition data filing
Store the analysis results into a database
Analysis of the issues encountered during the development process
Development of precautionary, sustainable solutions, update of the repositories and carry over policy.
Specification and coding of solutions for automatic processing of validation tests or from the data lake.
Idle speed calibration (rpm, regulation)
Calibration of component protection strategies BVM/BVMP/BVA take-off and brio (smoke mapping, anti-droop, idle robustness)
System Validation Engine side anti-stall pre-calibration
Calibration of the close control
Basic PWT adaptation calibration
Calibration of the component protection functions
System calibration Functional and dysfunctional validation
PWT functional integration
Follow-up of functional and inter-system validation tests and follow-up of supplier development activities
Calibration of BVA gear changes: stable foot, throttle release, pedal depression with different *Lock-up states in Drive and CMI
Calibration of torque blending functions
Calibration of commitments under all vehicle operating conditions
Calibration of gearbox self-adaptive devices
Torque bypass calibration. Anti-overspeed calibration.
Calibration of temperature patches, drag reduction, turbine torque recovery function, calibration safety.
Calibration and validation of component protection functions
Validation of engine and PWT behavior (quality of torque exchange, compliance with gearbox requirements, compliance with rpm instructions, etc.) during gear shifts
Validation of PWT behavior in Lock-up management phases
Validation of intra-PWT and PWT-vehicle exchanges (flow, quality) Engine software validation at each project phase
System calibration (converter status, ratio, gearbox learning, etc.)
Functional and dysfunctional validation of the gearbox software
