Position: Network Architect Work Location : Remote (Need local to Texas) Required Work Authorization: All Visa Except OPT/CPT Project Duration: Long Term Local to TX (100% Remote) LinkedIn with picture Public sector experience Worker will perform these tasks: Responsible for developing short and long-term strategic plans to ensure network and server capacity, reliability, scalability, and security needs are met now and into the future. Works with a team of Information Technology professionals; Leads the creation and delivery of solutions as a Subject Matter Expert; Provides expert guidance to the team on new solutions and designs. Conducts research and recommends changes in services, products, protocols and standards to support development efforts and network procurements. Reviews proposed solutions to ensure the delivery of a quality product or service to the customers. Subject matter expert who acts as liaison between the project user community and IT. Work with client managers to supply proposals and solutions that meet the client's specific needs. Review current state architecture for the IT network and cloud server environments and develops recommendations to improve the security, resiliency, and performance of these systems. Engages with third-party vendors and leads, directs, and utilizes knowledge on best practices in areas related to networking, cloud servers, and telecommunications. Establishes priorities for maintenance, design, development, and analysis of complex network systems. Perform current state and future state network service mapping, conducts gap analysis, estimates and plans delivery milestones, communicate plans and progress, and leads cross-department development meetings. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Communicate effectively Project management methodologies Systems development using analysis, design and documentation methodologies Strong collaboration and partnering skills Ability to analyze issues and recommend solutions Layer 1, 2, and 3 network technologies WAN and SDWAN communication technologies Cloud server environments Wireless communication technologies Business practices of the applicable industry Leading, assigning, reviewing, and monitoring the work of others Maintaining a safe working environment Oral and written communication to convey complex and highly technical information to a diverse audience Minimum Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably with major coursework in information systems, computer science, or a related field. 8 Years Network Architect, Network/Cloud operations, network/cloud projects, and/or related IT activities. Public sector experience (Federal, State, or Local Government).
