The Database Developer collaborates across stakeholders including product managers, project managers, business analysts and testers to elicit and analyze requirements and support maintenance needs. Qualifications: 10+ years of specialized experience Experience as an Oracle technologist building and managing data warehouse environments. Database DDL Code migration, database change management and data management. SQL and PL SQL development in Oracle 19C UNIX-based environments; or MS SQL server database administration; or Microsoft SQL Server Transact-SQL, replication, DTS/SSIS packages, SQL Agent jobs, SQL Reporting Services and Active X scripting. Preferred, Oracle database administration, Oracle and SQL Server backup and Recovery, Database and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. Responsibilities: Meets with business stakeholders and other technical teams to gather and analyze application requirements. Performs analysis of the business requirements and translates business requirements into technical specifications to design and build database infrastructure solutions. Implements database solutions using available database development tools; ensures database implementation meets prescribed standards and technical specifications. Strong Experience developing and implementing database solutions for Data Warehouses. Expert knowledge of physical database design. Ability to analyze existing code in both PL/SQL and shell script and determine impacts and remediation. Ability to analyze existing database schema DDL/instance layout and determine impacts migrating to new target schema/instance environments. Strong experience with SQL in Oracle. Proficient in database change management processes. Advanced knowledge of database performance tuning and partitioning. Expertise in SQL development, tuning and troubleshooting. Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing data related issues in data warehouse environments. Excellent at communicating database issues to business and management. Operational knowledge of virtualization solutions.
