CPA will not pay or reimburse travel expenses. Picture ID (Government): Copy of a state Drivers License/ID Card or US Government photo id. Onsite Requirement: Most work will be performed remotely. Onsite and remote attendance will be directed/coordinated by the Direct Supervisor. SKILLS: PeopleSoft BA with CAPPS, legacy migration, USAS/TINS/SPA, Agile, MS Project, Visio, security, BPR, JIRA, SharePoint experience. Notes : ( State of Texas Products ) STARR - State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness CAPPS - Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System The Candidate will perform the following tasks as a CAPPS STARR Business Analyst: Work with internal business users to evaluate business needs, analyse processes, and document decisions for the procured software. Prepare or receive detailed specifications to describe the sequence of steps that the procured software and interfacing applications must follow including the input, output and logical operations involved. Identify problems and propose innovative solutions. Participate in project management, coordination, planning, and scheduling with CPA staff in an Agile environment as needed. Provide system expertise and functional/technical support to other team members by communicating complex concepts clearly, accurately, and effectively both verbally and in writing. Provide functional and technical expertise for legacy mainframe systems, PeopleSoft and/or other ERP modules, as they exist and interface in a highly customized and complex environment. Attend stand-up meetings with developers and business users to coordinate activities. Gather business requirements that will be created as user stories for the procured software. Prepare mock-ups, charts, diagrams, and tables that depict the present and/or proposed requirements. Review, coordinate and gather historical legacy data for migration into procured software of the IT divisions data warehouse, where applicable. Participate in user acceptance testing for the implementation of user stories into production environment. Take ownership of reported issues and complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner reporting progress to the CAPPS STARR project team. Trying to capture potential PaaS piece but can remove if requested. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Experience and hands on knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to governmental accounting, budget, and payee systems. Successful experience as a business analyst leading large organizations in upgrading/modifying a legacy financial system. Experience in use of USAS, TINS, or SPA. Experience in use of PeopleSoft, or other CAPPS ERP systems. Experience with creating and documenting requirements using Agile and/or other SDLC development methodologies. Experience in developing a cost saving budget and operating plans. Experience with unit and system testing, and documenting results. Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint Experience in project management with IT related projects. Experience in providing consultation to business users and technical resources. Experience in collaborating and communicating effectively across multiple subject matter groups. Experience with highly complex application security requirements and determining security requirements. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Knowledge of JIRA environment. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Knowledge of facilitation techniques and experience using them in work groups Knowledge of Microsoft Visio or other workflow software.
