http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=1006610&uid= Unix Specialist Client: Morgan Stanley Location: Alpharetta, GA - Hybrid 3-4 days a week onsite depending on firm guidance** Duration: 6 + months Visa: All visa will work except H1B/CPT Rate: $60/hr on C2C MOI: Skype Job Description: This role is for a Unix L3 specialist to the Unix Critinfra Support Team with the following responsibilities: Proving SRE Support to the Firm's Critical Infrastructure (Oxygen Systems) in Follow-The-Sun model Provide On-call support, weekend project work Proactive health & hygiene tasks to maintain operational stability and compliance for risk & control programs to ensure the production environment is not put at risk. Collaborate with engineering teams to test and certify new hardware & software products. Engage with clients to understand business demand, needs & support during outage scenarios. Onboard new UNIX assets for growth or large programs such as new datacenter build outs. Skills Required: 6+ years of Unix/Linux Administration Enterprise Level Experience in large, distributed environment. Experience in Incident & Change Management and Reporting In depth knowledge Linux (Red-hat) with good knowledge in Solaris. Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies (NFS, NIS, DNS, DHCP) Detailed knowledge of Unix system monitoring and reporting Detailed knowledge of Server OS & Firmware upgrade Detailed knowledge of NTP/Time Keeper, Time synchronization technologies In depth knowledge in vulnerability assessment and server patching. Programming level knowledge of Shell, Perl/Python. Ability to troubleshoot, resolve complex problems, with a fix it once for everywhere and automation mentality. Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a global-team environment.
